Why a whole new interior? The long term goal was to match the engine bay and interior of the car. I wanted to keep the exterior simple and clean, but when you opened the hood or the door, you’d see something a little unexpected. While at the Autorama a few years ago, I saw a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in Green Mist Metallic and a dark green vinyl interior. That color combo was the inspiration. During the engine swap, we had the engine bay painted Green Mist Metallic.
The material choices are a little different than the interior of the Monte Carlo, but still in that theme. I selected British Green leather and a green plaid for the seat inserts. Along with green carpet and painting the headlining a similar color to the original off white.
First set of door cards in plaid and leather.
