Valve Cover

Center insert for valve cover.

While the painted valve cover looked great, the black spark plug wires running into the center needed a solution. We mocked up a paper template and then created a layout in Indesign, ultimately using SendCutSend to have the piece laser cut. I also wanted a way to visualize the uniqueness of this engine. Being a JDM version tuned by Autech, I used a Nissan font to describe that, matching the font style on the valve cover. I also recreated the Silvia logo as a subtle node to the JDM version of the car this engine came out of. We had one prototype laser cut, making some adjustments to the font location and length of the part. Above you can see the final version (without screws).
