Custom Dashboard

Starting to come together.

What inspired the dashboard? In the 1969 model year, the 510 dashboard had a very linear look and didn’t have the notch out in the center of the dash pad for the heater controls. I really like the clean look of that and the “chrome trim” that runs horizontally across the top and bottom of the dash. Taking inspiration from that model year, we simplified the dash and hand formed a custom aluminum dashboard. The top dash pad is also custom, keeping the shape similar to the original, but removing the center notch out area. That pad was then wrapped in leather at the trim shop.
